Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how QR Party collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website, web app, iOS app, and App Clip.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information needed to operate the service, and limited information stored locally on your device.
- Event information. Admins can create and manage event records, including event names, event URLs or slugs, dates, gallery settings, cover images, and related configuration.
- Uploaded media. Guests and admins can capture or upload photos and videos to an event gallery.
- Admin account information. Admins may provide an email address and authentication credentials or use an email sign-in link to access admin features.
- Device-stored identifiers and settings. Our apps may store a locally generated uploader identifier, sign-in email used for email-link login, home-screen prompt preferences, and cached images used to improve performance.
- Basic technical data. Our service providers may process data such as IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, and request logs as part of hosting, storage, authentication, and security operations.
How We Use Information
- To create and manage events and event galleries.
- To let guests capture, upload, view, and save event media.
- To authenticate admins and protect access to admin-only features.
- To sync galleries and media across the web app, iOS app, and App Clip.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and operate the service.
- To improve reliability, speed, and offline image availability.
Permissions
- Camera. Used to capture photos and videos for an event.
- Microphone. Used when recording video.
- Photo Library. Used to select existing media and to save captured photos or videos to your device.
If you do not grant certain permissions, some features may not work.
How Information Is Shared
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to provide the service, comply with law, or protect users and the service.
- With service providers. We use Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage, to run core parts of the product.
- With other users of an event. Photos, videos, cover images, and related gallery content may be visible to admins and to guests who have access to the event gallery.
- For legal or safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or if reasonably necessary to enforce our terms, protect rights, investigate fraud, or respond to security issues.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain event galleries, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
- Event and gallery content may remain available until it is deleted by an admin or by us.
- Admin authentication records may be retained while an admin account remains active.
- Device-local data may remain on your device until you clear app/browser storage or uninstall the app.
Your Choices
- You can choose not to grant camera, microphone, or photo-library permissions.
- You can clear browser storage, app data, or uninstall the app to remove local device data.
- You can request access to or deletion of your information by contacting us.
Children's Privacy
QR Party is not intended for children under 13 to use on their own. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate permission, contact us and we will review the request.
